The first annual Los Angeles Global Health Conference was held on February 6, 2016 at UCLA. Dr. Lourdes Baezconde-Garbanati conducted a presentation on the Tamale Lesson and the work being done on narrative in Panama. There were 450 in people in attendance.
In attendance were Dr. Michael Cousineau, Dr. Elahe Nezami, Dr. Lisa Gantz and Dr. Baezconde-Garbanati members of the USC CenHealth Directorate. Also in attendance were Dr. Shubha Kumar, Dr. Kathleen West and Dr. Heather Wipfli from the USC Institute for Global Health (IGH). IGH were co-sponsors of this event.
